What’s the billable expectation?
Your caseload i usually 6–8 kids. We hold a 16–20% supervision target plus 2.5–5% on family training guidance. What we actually track is whether you’re hitting those — that’s where the real clinical work happens. Above 30 hours of b in a week earns a $50/hour bonus, paid biweekly, not averaged.
How big are caseloads, really?
Usually 6–8 kids. We don’t overload BCBAs to absorb growth hen caseloads creep up we hire.
What does mentorship look like for me?
M is set between you and your Clinical Director.Wat works depends on where you are in your career and the kind of mentorship you need. One thing that’s true everywhere: our Clinical Directors are physically in the centers with you. This isn’t a remote-supervision model.
What does a typical week look like?
BCBAs manage their RBTs in the center, run their own intakes and report writing, and provide a lot of direct supervision.linical quality is everything to us, and that’s where it shows up. Within that, your schedule is largely yours. Doctor’s appointment? Don’t take PTO, just work around it.
Do BCBAs handle scheduling, billing, or admin?
No. BCBAs at Gracent are BCBAs, not schedulers, billers, recruiters, or intake coordinators. We have full teams for each of those: dedicated scheduling, care coordination, RBT talent acquisition, and revenue cycle. Your job is to write programs, supervise, train, and treat. Everything else has someone whose actual job it is.
Do BCBAs run their own assessments and intakes?
Yes. BCBAs at Gracent run their own assessments. We don’t have a centralized intake team writing programs someone else implements. Your assessment, your plan, your client. We also use the Care Calculator, a tool we built (and shared publicly for free!) that produces an individualized hours recommendation to guide you.
What if I want to specialize or pursue a clinical focus area?
Yes. We’ve supported team members building expertise in feeding, AAC, severe behavior, neurodiversity-affirming practice, and more. The interdisciplinary model means specialty work isn’t siloed, you build a focus area while still working within a broader team.
Is there hybrid or remote flexibility?
We’re flexible, but we also believe the best supervision and training happens in person. So most BCBAs spend the bulk of their time in-center, where the work is. Our centers stay open into the evening and on Saturdays, but those hours are shared across the team — no single t carries the late or weekend shifts. Beyond that, your time is yours. No one at Gracent is missing their kid’s school events, their own appointments, or a life outside of work.
What if I disagree with a recommendation or treatment plan?
Clinical disagreement is welcome — we believe the best care comes from many minds, not a single voice. We’ve built a real peer review process to make space for it, and your Clinical Director’s job is to be your sounding board, not your gatekeeper.
What’s the culture really like?
The honest answer: it depends on the center, because each team builds its own. Some run book clubs, some play very intense games of Traitors, some potluck together on Fridays. What’s true everywhere:we know each other, we care about each other, and the kids are the ce everything. Our CEO will give you his cellphone. Leadership shows up. We mean it.
